This story was really fantastic. It was slower than what I usually read, and those types tend to be a little harder for me to buy as a general rule, but this just kept building on itself it an AWESOME way. I loved the characterization here, cos it totally made this all work. Sam's especially, because it mixes Sam's emotive side (which I think fanfic kind of over-does, most of the time) and his smartass side (which tends to be ignored in favor of Very Sweet Brotherly Moments), and I found it perfect. It just echoed over and over with brotherly love, and it was seriously amazing. And funny. :)
On top of the banter, I really enjoyed your writing. It kept the same slowly building up pace, and it just felt very Dean while keeping the narrator as a separate entity. Seriously, it was great. My favorite part of the entire story was probably where Sam forces Dean to listen about Stanford, and the line about free verse poetry? One of my favorites. It was awesome, and fantastic annoyed!Sam. Great story!
