I love the original of this one, and the remix takes a great approach... I really enjoy how many echoes of the original remain, providing contrast for the many differences you've introduced with the change of character roles.
So many details, and they felt perfectly right for this John and this Rodney: Rodney's pleased hum, John as a reluctant Confederate soldier, Rodney writing quote-unquote out in his letter. Great story.
