Oh wow, this is totally made of win! I really love Vampire!John, not only does he strike me as being very much like John in canon, he also fits very well in this universe. I like the way you changed the backstory enough to fit John and I really really like the way he hears everything around him as music. That's a brilliant touch and I kind of wish I'd thought of it when writing the original. :)
Rodney is fantastic as well; he's just so...Rodney. *grins* Of course he has an attitude and of course he's done his research. And I love the bit about free will; of course Rodney would hate the feeling of a forced relationship.
And you actually brought them together at the end! I kind of went back and forth on my ending and I'm glad to see that you went the other way. So yeah, basically, I love this remix. :)
