This being the first remix ever for me, I was so completely charmed by the result! You've done such an amazing and touching job of crafting your story in the framework of the original yet unfolding so much more depth in the process! The image of Andi watching Cissy watching Lucius is very touching, because each sister has their own perceptions. Andromeda here is very much as I'd have pictured her, even though she is barely mentioned in 'For Love'--and the moment when they finally come together after Narcissa's rage really, really touched me.
What makes this so gorgeous is the inevitability of it all, and how both sisters end up in similar places but with what one might call switched roles--Narcissa was on the 'evil' side, some would say, yet she survives with her family and child intact. Andromeda lives her life the way she's always wanted, without compromising, and she loses so much.
I had been initially SO very worried that there wasn't enough substance to make remixing any of my stories a worthwhile experience, and I truly hope that, given this extraordinary story, this wasn't the case for you. I was at once delighted and truly surprised at your choice, and after rereading this twice, I have to say how much I love that the world is filled with so many different personalities and temperaments. I'd never have ever thought of doing this with this story, but I love it very much and have already linked back to it from the original.
