Thanks, as always. I’m really going to have to work on telling a shorter story — it’s getting to where someone can almost pick out an aadler remix simply by checking the length — but I’m beginning to think that’s just the way I write. I like action, and action has to happen for a reason (meaning lots of setup and character motivation), and doing it right just requires a certain amount of room. You reassure me that my approach is at least passably effective.
Second thanks for commenting favorably on characterization. I didn’t have much doubt about Faith, but I’ve never worked with Lorne before, and it’s always good to hear that at least one person believes I did a decent job.
I enjoyed doing this story (though it took me the longest time to really get into a groove). Putting the original story in the context of the implanted memory … yeah, I thought that was cute. Happy you approve.
