It's interesting, isn't it, how many comics characters have 'convenience degrees,' which they magically acquired at some point, and might occasionally pull out and use when plot convenience dictates. And you have a few characters like Mr. Fantastic or Iron Man or Daredevil who are strongly identified as scientist/engineer/lawyer, but for the most part, well -- nobody generally thinks of Polaris and Havok as 'scientists,' much less genius ones, even if that is part of their backstory. When it is used -- as it is here, and in your Lorna-writing as well -- it gives a nice new dimension of character to explore.
