*cries* oh god, the original story broke me, because if John has just TOLD Rodney he cared for him, and that what Rodney saw with Elizabeth wasn't what he thought, Rodney might have agreed to be helped, instead of slipping away. It's even more heartbreaking to see this from John's side. *sob*
