Your story was compelling (and fun) as written, but the nagging question of "how did we get here?" always comes to mind, and it made the approach to the Remix rather straightforward--and the epilogue set up the ultimate "why" of the whole scenario: the United Kingdom isn't *that* small, after all. :-)
