I came to this redux community for the first time, on the recommendation of someone on my friends list. Stumbling about the tags looking for something interesting, this was the first thing I pulled up, and to my pleasant surprise, I recognized the original story as one of the first stories I ever beta'ed! Beatrice's was a great story, and you've done a great job reinterpreting it!

Poor, poor Saul. The bit about being destined to be at Bill's side and your take on how one could see Bill's constant covering for Saul in a much more sinister way was as chilling as it was fascinating.
