Oh. Oh... wow. The original was powerful and painful enough, but this, the way this adds to it and complements it and... Oh, I haven't even got words, but it goes beyond "powerful and painful" all the way to "utterly heartbreaking" and beyond. I'm sitting here bawling my eyes out right now. Which is a good thing. A heartbreaking, good thing.

And the characterization here, of absolutely everybody, is so perfect. Yeah, heartbreakingly perfect.
