I strongly suspect I know who you are

Course you do. I’m your remixer. What gave it away; or, should I say, what didn’t give it away?

I'm a little incoherent, even though I've read it three or four times.

That’s probably my fault… more on that after the reveal.

Part of that is because--and you had no way of knowing this--this is very similar to the first novel-length original thing I ever wrote, in ways, and that makes me incredibly happy.

I’ve never written medieval romance, or anything remotely like this, so I have no idea how I settled on this universe.

I'm not usually an Amber fan, but you used her really well here

Summer turned into such a tricky character to play with. She dumps Wilson in the ending, unfortunately, in Asclepieia the kings can (and do) take mistresses. If their queens objected, they risked losing their place in the court. They had to deal. The trick became finding an impetus for her leaving; thus, Lady Volakis found her way to center stage during the final act. I ended up settling on Amber – instead of say Bonnie, Julie, Cuddy, Robin, Grace – is she would definitely piss Summer/Teresa off the most.

I’m thrilled you like it. It was fun.
