I love the Whedonverse for fanfic because (like the Potterverse, actually) there are so many minor characters we know just enough about for them to be interesting, and not all of them are white. So ... yeah. Caridad and her family have this whole complicated life in my head, now, so maybe I'll revisit them someday.
