I don't know Buffy comics canon at all, but I loved this story a whole lot, regardless. You've made Caridad fun and sharp-eyed and grounded, and it is just a grand take on the whole business of slaying and heroing from someone who is on the inside, but only just. And it is funny as well as striking true:

Sometimes being around the Original Slayer and her crew was a lot like listening to your aunties talk about crap that happened before you were born but that could mess up your life anyhow.

That, exactly. But I could keep quoting bits back at you for ages because it inhabits the storyverse so very well, and because it made me smile rather a lot! (Aw, River's expression which might be an apology, or just regret at loosing out on greenstuff. *hearts*)
