As to the choice, I looked over quite a few stories yet kept coming back to the one drabble with its atmospheric richness. I chose the decadrabble format as a tip of the hat to the original word count limitations on the drabble itself and focused on the same things that called to me in the original -- mood, pace, atmosphere. /ramble
