I was so excited when I saw you chose this story. And I was even more pleased to find it spun into something gen. The mirroring you do with Remus & Harry here against the original is just wonderful. I love how you show that context can change the meaning of similar words and gestures. I also just loved the idea of situations unconsciously repeating themselves (particularly with Harry unknowingly reprising Sirius' role).
I also enjoy how you give us a bit of wish fulfillment here. It is nice to think a scene like this could have taken place between the two of them off-screen, something to bring closure for the audience to Sirius' abrupt death.
Finally, I love that with all I mentioned that this remains a story of Remus' view of a Remus/Sirius story at its heart.
In the end, Remix is more for the remixer than the remixee (at least I think), but thank you just the same. I really love what you've done with this.
