I couldn't kill George. I tried, in two drafts, but it just didn't ring right. He lives happily ever after, baking with Marie & Co. Years from now, en route to a haunted battlefield, Sam will stop in to buy a pie; Dean will tag along to make sure he gets the right kind; George will ring them up and not recognize them at all.
