Aww, this is lovely. You really make me feel for Remy, especially because it's a point of view you don't see as often - the person who is affected deeply by someone's death, but doesn't seem to have the same "claim" on the dead person as others do. You handle that really well here, and the flashbacks work wonderfully. Great job!
